Harry,

Didn't you lose the RTKL appeal holding that the application for public defender and the public defender's decision on that application is a public record?  I would answer those questions.  Maybe it is something important like the cop wants a continuance....

The problem we are having is that about half of our baby judges are insisting we enter an appearance to get a copy of the complaint and pushing us to enter an appearance at the Preliminary hearing waiver.  If they get out of jail and didn't lose their job we make them reapply prior to the arraignment where we enter the appearance.  I've had to have our PJ explain this to them twice.

You'd think that they would be happy pulling down $100K for working a day or two a week.   I had an assistant pd work here for 12 years.  He gets elected, puts on that robe and all of a sudden he starts "no bailing" all the Felony 1s that cross his desk.  I told him he needs to re-read the constitution and that the FOP will love him just as much if he does what everyone else does and puts $3 million on the ones that scare him.
