In Berks County ( class 3), we have 2 full time Asst. Public Defenders assigned to Juvenile Court.
They are experienced Attys.
One  juv. Asst. PD is paid $63,121 & the other juv. APD is paid $61,582 .
We have 1 office Support assigned to Juvenile court.
We have 3 Client Service Coordinators , whom mitigate & Investigate, for the office, but they are not assigned specifically to juvenile court.

Please send me:

        1.      How much you pay a juvenile defender in your office.
        2.      How many lawyers and support staff (administrative, social workers, investigators) you have dedicated to juvenile defense.
        3.      THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT FOR COUNTIES FROM CLASSES 1-3, as that will likely raise the dollar number, but we also are looking for a sampling across all county classes.

3.      In the next couple weeks, PDAP is going to start a statewide policy working group listserv, which will include Public Defenders who work on policy issues for your office and people who are not PDs who work on criminal justice policy issues in PA (ACLU, FAMM, Vera, Institutional Law Project, etc.).  The idea is that when there are issues that impact Defenders across the state we are part of and leading those conversations.  If you have designated policy or legislative people in your office that you'd like on such a list, or a leader in your office who you'd like to be part of those conversations (or, of course, you if you're interested), please send me those names.
