Hello my name is Elizabeth Wood and I was recently hired as Chief Public Defender in Columbia County. Im looking to do some updating and make the transition smooth and most efficient. Ive been searching and trying to put together a Public Defender Guideline for our newly hired part time public defenders with regards to eligibility and conflicts. Does anyone have anything like this or any ideas of what to include.

Additionally our application badly needs updating and revamping. We currently do not include email addresses or secondary contacts for clients or require proof of income. Also our varying magistrates have changed some aspects of the their forms and I wish for it to be a standard form for all the magistrate courts.

The final area I know we need to improve upon is a conflict tracker. We currently only go off old electronic files and do not have any actual system in place for easy access to the information. Does anyone have any suggestions for software or programs that work well in this regard.
