Good afternoon!

With my impending departure from the Lebanon County Public Defender’s Office, the three attorneys remaining will be forced to absorb my case load until such time as positions are filled.  In consideration of such changes, myself and the incoming chief would like to suspend applications and representation on DUS Citations, DUS Summary Appeals, and all M3s until such time as the office is appropriately staffed.  There are currently going to be 3 attorney positions open.  The thought is that once 2 additional attorneys are hired that would start up the DUS Summary Appeals and M3 applications resuming, and then only when the 3rd attorney is hired would the office resume doing DUS Citations at the MDJ Offices.

Anyone had any similar experiences and can you share how you went about turning the faucet down so as not to overflow the system?

Thanks in advance,
Brian
